Whenever you see "Word" written with a capital letter 'W' in the bible, you need to understand that it is actually referring to Jesus Christ.
Understanding this means realising that:
1. Jesus has been with God since the beginning of the world. " In the beginning was the Word(Jesus) and the Word( Jesus) was with God[the Father]. [John1:1].
2. Jesus is God. "and the Word(Jesus) was God[the Son]"[John1:1].
3. Jesus came into this world in human form "And the Word(Jesus) was made flesh and dwelt among us(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father)... "[John1:14].
4. Jesus brings eternal Life. He is referred to as the 'Word of Life' that brings eternal life in 1John1:1-2.
5. Jesus is a member of the Godhead(popularly called ' Holy Trinity'). "...the Father, the Word(Jesus) and the HolyGhost and these three are one". [1John5:7].
With these findings I believe you now understand the true person of Jesus Christ.
