HOW TRUE IS: 'ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED'[ETERNAL SECURITY]

Biblically, as christians we know, believe and affirm that the soul of
a sinner is saved(preserved from eternal damnation) as soon as he
acknowledges his sins(Luke18:13), repents of them(Acts2:38), confesses
them(1John1:9), ask for forgiveness(Luke18:13) and believe that Jesus
died and rose to remit his sins(Romans10:9). This one time sinner now
has eternal life(John3:16).

The questions that come to mind after repenting of our sins and
accepting Christ are these:
'can salvation be lost?',
'do we lose our eternal life each time we commit sin?',
'does our lifestyle after salvation counts?.
The following points answers all these question and many more.

THE CONDITION FOR FINAL PRESERVATION
'But he that shall endure(continue, persist) to the end, the same
SHALL BE SAVED' (matt24:13).
In this verse of the scripture, Jesus was telling his disciples(his
followers, who were already saved) that they have to 'CONTINUE TO THE
END' if they must be SAVED.
I thought we got saved after repenting of our sins and believing on
the Lord Jesus, How come the future tense; 'SHALL BE SAVED' which is
hinged on the condition; 'HE THAT SHALL ENDURE(CONTINUE) UNTO THE
END'.
The Isrealite left the land of Egpt but they had to continue moving to
get to the promised land, Our Salvation(preservation from eternal
punishment) starts here(from the moment we repent of our sins and
believe on the Lord Jesus Christ) and gets consummated(achieved) when
we get to heaven. We must therefore continue in holy living after
repenting and believing on the Lord in order to ensure our
preservation

John8:31 reads: 'Then said Jesus to those Jews which BELIEVED ON
HIM(Who got saved), If ye CONTINUE in my word, then are ye my
disciples indeed'.

THE NEED TO ABIDE
If a man abide(remain) not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is
withered: and men gather them, and cast them into the fire and they
are burned(John15:6).
If a one-time Christian stops abiding in Christ, stops living a holy
life(backslides), he cease to have part in Christ and will therefore
end up in hell unless he repents and gets grafted in.

A PRACTISING SINNER IS OF THE DEVIL
'He that commits sin is of the devil...whosoever is born of God does
not commit sin'(1John3:8&9).
It is not possible for the devil's asset, the devil's property(a
practising sinner, who was before a believer) to have a place in
heaven.

HOLY LIVING(GOOD WORKS) AFTER BELIEVING
Titus3:8 reads '...that they which have BELIEVED in God(those who have
repented and believed in Christ), might be careful to maintain good
works...', 1Peter4:16 reads: '...be you holy for I am holy', because
without holiness (which must certainly reflect in our thoughts, deeds
and lifestyle) NO MAN shall see the Lord(Heb.12:14) and as we all know
'...there shall in no wise enter into it(into heaven) anything that
defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination...'(Rev.21:27).

In conclusion, '...If after they have escaped the pollution of the
world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ they
are AGAIN ENTANGLED THEREIN and overcome, the latter end(in hell) is
worse with them than their beginning(2Peter2:20).

Examine yourself today, have you backslidden(just like the prodigal
son)?, God's arms are wide open to recieve you back, acknowledge your
sins, repent of them, confess them, ask for forgiveness and believe in
your heart that Christ died and rose to remit your sins and ask for
the grace to live a holy life at all times.

REMEMBER THERE IS NOTHING LIKE ETERNAL SECURITY.

You nailed it right on the head. I wonder why some Christians think after the initial salvation, it doesn't matter what they do, they're still gonna make to heaven. They need to wake up!
